The Pew Research Center’s Internet and American Life Project recently released a report with some interesting new information regarding wireless internet use among Americans. The report focuses primarily on the two devices that Americans use most commonly to access the wireless internet- laptop computers and mobile phones. As the study reveals, Americans place a high degree of value on the convenience of “on-the go†wireless access, as offered by cell phones and smart phones: “As the capabilities of the cell platform are expanding, so are the reasons for which people value the device.â€Â Pew found that people value mobile internet access not only because it permits them to stay connected with other people, but also because it allows them to easily access and share information online.
According to the report, some 32% of cell phone and smart phone users have accessed the internet on their mobile device, with 23% doing so on a daily basis. This is good news for mGive partners.
